About Us

Testimony of Faith - Pastor

From a young age, I knew that God had a special plan for my life. Raised in Chittagong, Bangladesh, in the nurturing environment of Shagorika Baptist Church, I was introduced to the love of Christ early on. My journey of faith began in Sunday school, where the seeds of the gospel were planted deeply in my heart. As the Apostle Paul said, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). This verse resonates with my own life experience, as those early years laid a solid foundation of faith that has carried me through every season of life.

Though I initially pursued a career as a corporate lawyer, God’s calling on my life was unmistakable. Through a series of divine appointments, the Lord revealed His desire for me to serve Him full-time. I left my career in law behind, trusting fully in God's plan, and embraced the call to ministry. Just as the prophet Isaiah responded to God, I too said, “Here am I! Send me” (Isaiah 6:8).

The Lord led me to pursue further theological education, which resulted in my Doctorate in Missiology. With every step, He was preparing me for the work He had set before me—pastoring Church of Glory and leading others to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. My heart beats for the lost, for the broken, and for all who are in need of the saving grace of our Savior.

The faithfulness of God has been my anchor through every challenge. He has never failed me, and as Psalm 23:1 reminds us, *“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want”. I walk forward in this journey, not in my own strength, but with the full assurance that, “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”* (Philippians 1:6).

It is my deepest desire to see lives transformed by the gospel, and I am honored to serve as an instrument of God's grace and truth at Church of Glory.

Detailed Statement of Faith - Church of Glory

At Church of Glory, we stand on the historic Baptist confession of faith. Rooted in the Scriptures and guided by the Holy Spirit, we hold to the following core doctrines that shape our faith, practice, and mission:

1. The Authority and Inerrancy of Scripture

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice, providing instruction for righteousness, doctrine, and correction.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

2. The Trinity

We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and distinct yet one in essence and purpose.

“For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7)

3. The Deity and Humanity of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died a substitutionary death on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended to heaven and will return in power and glory.

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

4. The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells, seals, guides, teaches, and empowers them for godly living and service. The Holy Spirit also imparts spiritual gifts to every believer for the edification of the Church.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” (John 14:26)

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.” (1 Corinthians 12:7)

5. The Fall of Man

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through Adam’s disobedience. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature, separated from God, and unable to redeem themselves.

“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” (Romans 5:12)

6. Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe that salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by human works or merit, but is made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those who repent of their sins and place their trust in Him are justified, born again, and reconciled to God.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

7. The Security of the Believer

We believe that those who are truly born again are eternally secure in Christ. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by human effort, and believers are kept by God’s power until the day of redemption.

“And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:28)

8. The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, consisting of all born-again believers who are united by the Holy Spirit. The local church is a congregation of baptized believers who gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, and service, and who are committed to proclaiming the gospel.

“And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Ephesians 1:22-23)

9. The Ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe in two ordinances instituted by Christ for the Church:

- Baptism by Immersion: Believers' baptism by immersion is a public profession of faith, symbolizing the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)

- The Lord’s Supper: The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and a celebration of His imminent return.

“For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” (1 Corinthians 11:26)

10. The Priesthood of All Believers

We believe in the priesthood of all believers, meaning that every Christian has direct access to God through Jesus Christ and is called to serve in ministry. Each believer has been given spiritual gifts to serve the body of Christ.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

11. The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom on earth. We believe in the resurrection of the dead: the righteous to eternal life and the wicked to eternal judgment.

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

12. Eternal Destiny

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. Those who are saved will inherit eternal life in the presence of God, while those who are lost will face eternal separation from God in the lake of fire.

“And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (Matthew 25:46)

This Statement of Faith encapsulates the foundational beliefs of Church of Glory and reflects the timeless truths of God’s Word. We stand firm in our mission to glorify God, proclaim the gospel, and disciple believers as we await the glorious return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
