Fall of Angels

 

Satan means SATANAS in Greek, which men ‘Who Reviled Against God’. These names are only used between God and Satan relationship. And also he has another name DIABOLOS in Greek, that means Separator and Destroyer which is DEVIL in English. Separator means dividing the relation between God and Human. He also is the peace breaker so his name destroyer.

 

He also had destroyed all God’s creation. All this two names are the same names but express differently. As like according to the function in our society, each person carrying different name based on the relationship like, husband to wife but the same person husband is father to his son. This is the Horizontal relationship.

After the fall of Lucifer, he has the ‘restricted sobering power’, under control of Jesus. He got name Satan, Devil, ‘Ruler of the Air’, ‘Prince of this world’ and ‘God of this world’. He is not almighty but under the control of Jesus in order to teach creature the purpose of creation.

 

Fall of Lucifer: Lucifer was called before Morning Star that means light bearer, a very good name. It is bright and beautiful and perfect in wisdom, very good looking and shining, honored by every angel. But all of sudden God gave him bad name SATAN as a he rivaled against Him. God said him Diabolos. He also took his beloved 1/3rd angels with him and destroyed God’s creation. As a result Genesis 1:2 took place. That firstly indicates us that the Fall of Lucifer. It happens between times of Genesis 1:1 through Genesis 1:2. We do not know how long it happened or took place. There have huge time gap (Gap Theory) between verse 1 and 2 and we don’t know how long.

 

There are at least two bible verses teaches us about the fall of Lucifer,

 

1) Isaiah 14:12-20 (12, How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn!), and

 

2) Ezekiel 28:12-19 (17, Your heart become proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I throw you to the Earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings.)

 

The Lord Jesus told Isaiah and Ezekiel about the fall of Lucifer. There have two references Jesus gave them as the symbolical expression. There have a lot of name of Lucifer. In Isaiah Lucifer’s name described as the Morning Star. And to Ezekiel the Lucifer was symbolized as the King of Tyre (Ezekiel 28:12). Also as Ezekiel 28:12 he was called by the seal of perfection, the full of wisdom and perfect of beauty. In Ezekiel 28:14, it says that he was the Anoint Cherub. In Ezekiel 28:15 it says the, the Lucifer was blameless in all his ways. In these two references the Lucifer was described as the high top position of angelic force.

But, Lucifer all of sudden became very rude and bad attitude. He attempted to make himself the most high like God. He tried to raise him up to the level of God. As a result in Isaiah 14:12, “How are you fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! how are you cut down to the ground, that did lay low the nations!”. We studied that he had been casted away from the third heaven to 1st and 2nd Heaven. And then he became the dark, void and confused by his force and began to show violence against the God’s creature when he casted out from 3rd heaven with his 1/3rd of followed, Revelation 12:4, “His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour his child the moment it was born.”

 

These stories are described in these two references. Lucifer means Light bearers that were a good name before his fall. Also he had other good names. Such as Venus, and Morning Star. After the fall God changed the name Demon, Satan, Devil, Snake, Serpent and Dragon. He also called as, The Red Dragon, as Revelation12:3, “Then another sign appeared in heaven, an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads”, the God of this Age,  as 2Corinthians 4:4, “The God of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God”, Ruler of this world , Murderer, Lire, the father of lie, as John 8:44, “You belong to your father, the devil and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies”, the wicked evil one (John 13:19), Adversary (1Peter 5:8). All those are the name of fallen angel. Those names carry his nature and his characteristics.

 

DEVIL: Devils means destroyer. They destroy all God’s creature. It also destroys all stars, land, trees and so on. Fallen Lucifer had destroyed Adam and Eve. He also making God’s creature especially human broken. It breaks the relationship between the God and Man. When we see Devil it refers to Satan. Satan is only singular number as it refers to the Lucifer. The followers of Lucifer had not call Satan. Those fallen angels refer to devils.

 

In the bible DEVIL has three specific names that associated with his job_

 

1) The ruler of Air (Ephesians 2:2, In which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now a work in those who are disobedient)

2) The King of this world (John 12:31, Now is the time for judgment on this world, now the prince of this world will be driven out)

3) The God of this world (2Corinthians 4:4a, The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers).

 

Devil and his followers are ruling air and the universe means the 1st and 2nd heaven. And also they have the power and the authority in this world. So Jesus calls them the ruler of this world. Also they are the God and Goddess of this world. People in this world are worshiping them as their God and Goddess. Hinduism, Buddhism, Muslim and all other ethnic religions are worshipping them. They make snakes, dragons and other ugly looking shapes and worshiping them.

 

Devils are normally hovering (flying) around the 1st and 2nd heaven. They are like airplane or birds. So in the bible there have many cases that refers them that hovering around air. They are spiritual military forces and have their own camp based on their specialties. They came around the universe as their specialty is as example in Africa they use AIDS, gorily attack, in India Hindu use millions of God, in Arab they use Islamic word. Mostly they use the territorial attack. All these devils territory attack happening by them. But by the name of Jesus those devils forces can be stop.

 

DEMON: In Bible often we can see that there uses the word ‘Demon’ or ‘posses by demon’. Demon also has the different name such as Dirty Spirit, Unclean Spirit and Evil Spirit. The demons are normally the lowest and less power evil spirit. These evil spirits are normally dwelt inside our body and soul. In the name of Jesus these demons can be cast out form our body and soul. These casted demons should find their house in side others body and souls (both Human and animal).

 

Demons cannot duel in air. Sometimes they dwell in dog’s body. There house is our body and soul. Soul means both Heart and mind. As Matthew 8:28-34, “²⁹And behold they cried out saying, "What business do you have with us, O Jesus, you Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before the time?”. We can see two demon possessed man who cried out saying, “You are the son of God”. Therefore there have two different people inside demon possessed men. One of it is he himself and the other one is the demon. As a result, sometimes he speaks in his mouth or sometimes about the demon mouth. In 1Corinthins 12:10, “To another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

 

Some physical illnesses are related to Demonization. Matthew 9:32-34, “While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke”. A Dumb-man who cannot talk, Jesus said he was demonized. Before we saw about the blindness that was relate to demonization. Many cases such as Mathew 12:43, “When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it”.  Demons like the heart and soul of human to settle. If our heart is not clean enough with Holy Spirit, if it is empty without the name of Jesus then it will attack by demons easily. Many cases, when we experienced rejection, bitterness and hurt form others, demons will enter into our heart joyfully. Sometimes even bible teachers and pastors in our teaching and preaching represent demons. Demon can see through the possessed man’s eye. Even they can see the spiritual condition of the man is good or bad.

 

Love is the most powerful weapon against this state. It should be unconditional (Agape) love. Need kindness, compassion, care, encouragement, comfort in the name of Jesus can changed the demons captured person.

 

Some cases demons duels in any tangible (touchable) objects. For example trees, plants, television, computers, image, that possesses any corrupt objects. That is why bible insists us to burn all bad objects from our house. Any decoration of evil religions (demon related objects) has to throughout away. It brings bad effect in the spirituality of our home as they know our heart condition.  

 

Than what happened to our true God, as He gave authority to those bad guys? All Authority has given to Jesus as Matthew 28:18, “And Jesus approached them and spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me”. So, Jesus has given all the authority of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Heaven. So now these Satan and devils and his followers are under Jesus power. Jesus temporarily delegated some authority and powers to those guys in order to fulfill His plan. 

 

Why did God keep the fallen angels without putting them in to the HELL?

If God casted the fallen angels into hell right after their fall, it would not have been a problem ever in human life. As Lucifer fell, God decided to use the fallen angels. God knew in his wisdom that His creatures cannot meet and satisfy His requirement. God realized that even the high level angel Lucifer could not meet His creation purpose. The creation purpose was only to glorify the creator. But the creatures in their weaknesses and their limitation could not satisfy God. Also the creatures could not even recognize the Creator and his purpose of creation. Upon the fall of Lucifer, God realized that all other creatures including God’s children were forgotten and disobey the God’s creation purpose. In order to make them not to forget the creator and creation purpose, God decided to use the fallen angels as instruments to show the creations what His creation purpose and identity (who God is) is. There are at least 3 areas that God has revealed himself through the satanic forces.

 

1) Through satanic forces God wanted to rebuild his existence to Creature.

2) He wanted to demonstrate his almighty power over them.

3) He wanted to proclaim his name among the creatures.
